From Wednesday January 27 – Friday the 29th the Director of Research and Business Development – Jefford Humes – attended the NanoTech Japan convention held at the Tokyo Big Sight as part of the NanoCanada delegation. Visited by almost 48,000 attendees, the show was a great success and allowed for the presentation of NanoIntegris and Raymor’s novel nanomaterials before many industry and academic representatives from Asian and around the world.

Apart from attendance at the world’s largest nanotech convention, NanoIntegris was also given the opportunity to attend onsite visits to the National Institute of Advanced Materials Science (AIST) and the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS). In addition to this, the Canadian Embassy of Japan hosted the NanoCanada delegation, providing a wonderful presentation of the Japanese marketplace by the Trade Commissioners and a wonderful set of Business to Business meetings with numerous Japanese companies in utilizing our nanomaterials for their appliactions.

On February 3rd and 4th, an add-on mission to South Korea was attended. Here intriguing business meets to CEKO and EVERCHEMTECH were provided, followed by a full day of Business to Business meetings with South Korean companies, as pre-arranged by the Embassy of Canada in Seoul.

Overall, this visit to Asia was one of the most promising ever made and laid the foundation for the usage of NanoIntegris’ high purity materials for the development of numerous cutting edge sensing and IOT invention technologies.
