NanoIntegris’ Director of Business Development – Jefford Humes- was proud to participate within the CHIPS Standards Act Summit in Washington D.C. at the end of September 2023.
The NIST-sponsored summit lasted 2 days and comprised of 6 plenary sessions, with wonderful panel discussions regarding many topics such as Strategic Standards Priorities, Innovation in Standards Development, and Building Diverse, Standards-Capable Workforces, as it related to the strengthening the semiconducting market within the United States.
The second day was filled with seven breakout sessions of participating scientists and standards specialists convening to discuss our views and resolutions for numerous topics such as Strategic Standards Priorities, Innovations in Standards Development, and Pre-Standards Research.
During the time, it was my pleasure to meet numerous representatives of companies and government organizations who are invested in the effort to strengthen and revitalize the US position semiconductor research and production.
Along with the excitement of being within the capitol of the US, it was a pleasure to hear from and meet the U.S. Department of Secretary, Gina Raimondo, and New York Representative Paul Tonko who are in full support of this world-changing initiative!
